Can I bring my kids?

Kids are welcome at the after-party by the pool, but not at the welcome drinks, wedding ceremony, or reception. For the wedding day, we recommend arranging childcare with one of our trusted local babysitting agencies in Greece: Paramana – a reliable babysitting platform used by our wedding planners for all their weddings in Greece. You can browse sitter profiles, read reviews, and contact them directly to arrange childcare in advance. Kids in Greece – a professional childcare agency offering qualified, English-speaking nannies who are fully vetted, first-aid trained, and experienced with weddings and holiday stays. We suggest booking early and having a video call with your nanny beforehand so you feel completely comfortable and prepared. 📞 +30 210 300 4118 (Paramana) 📧 info@paramana.eu 📧 info@kidsingreece.com

Is there a local babysitting service in Greece you recommend?

Yes! We recommend two trusted options: Paramana – a reliable local babysitting platform used by our wedding planners for all their weddings in Greece. All sitters are verified with ID checks, background screening, and parent reviews. You can browse profiles, check availability, and message sitters directly once you sign up. Kids in Greece – a professional childcare agency with qualified, English-speaking nannies who are fully vetted, first-aid trained, and experienced with weddings and holiday stays. They personally match you with a nanny and manage the process from start to finish. Paramana is a great, affordable self-service option, while Kids in Greece offers a more premium, full-service experience for families wanting extra reassurance. Will you provide transportation?

We’ll provide transport to and from the wedding venue on the big day to make things easy for everyone. For the welcome drinks at Teloneio and the after-party at Alistos Hotel, guests will need to arrange their own transport. Feel free to carpool, use local taxis, or rent a car to get around.

Should I hire a car?

Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around the Peloponnese, especially if you want to explore the area or stay in Gytheio. It gives you flexibility and freedom during your stay. If you prefer not to drive, taxis and local transport are available, but can be limited, especially in smaller villages like Limeni. We’ll provide transport on the wedding day, so no need to worry about that, but for other events and exploring, a car is definitely handy.

Should I stay in Limeni or Gytheio?

Both Limeni and Gytheio are great options! Limeni is a charming, small seaside village right by the welcome drinks venue—perfect if you want to be close and enjoy a peaceful, picturesque setting. Gytheio is a larger town with more restaurants, shops, and amenities, about a 15-minute drive from Limeni. It’s a good choice if you want more options and a livelier atmosphere. Either way, both spots offer easy access to the wedding events and beautiful surroundings, so you can’t go wrong!

Should I stay in an Airbnb or a hotel?

Both are great options depending on what you’re looking for! Airbnbs can offer more space, privacy, and a local feel—perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group. Hotels provide convenience, amenities, and often breakfast, plus they can be easier if you want a hassle-free stay. Whether you pick Limeni or Gytheio, you’ll find a mix of both, so choose what suits your style and plans best.

What will the weather be like in the Peleponnese?

September in the Peloponnese is usually warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures typically between 25-30°C. Evenings start to cool down a bit, making it perfect for outdoor celebrations. It’s one of the best times to visit—pleasant, not too hot, and less crowded than the peak summer months.

Do I need a visa to travel to Greece?

As of 2026, Australian passport holders will need to obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) approval before entering Greece and other Schengen Area countries. This is not a visa, but a mandatory online travel authorization. Key Details: Cost: Approximately €7 (around AUD 11). Validity: Valid for three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. Application: The process involves filling out an online form with personal and travel details. Processing Time: Most applications are processed within minutes, but it's advisable to apply at least 72 hours before your departure. Please note that the ETIAS system is expected to become operational in the last quarter of 2026. Until then, Australian travelers can continue to enter Greece without this authorization. However, it's important to stay updated on the official ETIAS website for any changes to the implementation timeline.

How far is everything from Athens airport?

The wedding venues—Alistos Hotel, Gytheio, and Limeni—are all located in the southern Peloponnese region of Greece, approximately 3 to 3.5 hours' drive from Athens International Airport (ATH).
